Junior Project Manager (Construction) - Cork

INFORM3 Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a Main Contractor for:

Job Title – Junior Project Manager

Project – Residential & Commercial

Job Location - Cork

Salary – €35K-€40K + Travel Package

About the Company

Working with an established Building & Civils company on commercial and residential projects in Cork. These will vary between extensions, conservations, refurbishments and one-off builds. Project values range from €0.5M to €10M.

The Role

• Coordinate and monitor and review construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.
• Support the Contracts Manager / Project Manager in ensuring works are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Drive and motivate workforce on site to ensure productivity.
• Direct and Manage personnel, site staff and subcontractors and manage and coordinate weekly progress meetings, workshops and plan actions.
• Contribute to toolbox talks and client meetings.
• Monitor construction to ensure quality of work and coordinate and liaise with Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Site Engineers and Service Coordinators to ensure all personnel have accurate and timely information.

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• 2 years’ experience as a site manager or engineer is essential.
• Ability to effectively manage site programme and associated schedules to required deadlines.
• Experience working on restoration/ conservation of listed buildings is desirable.
• Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint with Excellent IT skills and good digital and visual presentational skills.
