Junior Quantity Surveyor- Co Cavan
The Company
Building and civils contractor is currently on the lookout for an experienced QS to join their team. They have experience providing a wide range of services, including residential, commercial, civils, fit-out, hotel & leisure and healthcare. Fantastic opportunity to manage jobs and progress career in the right direction while working with a well-known construction company in Cavan and develop your career with a company that has been operating for the last 30 years.
The Role
- Liaise with customers and project managers
- Management of commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with customers, consultants and subcontractors
- Prepare tendering projects
- Preparing interim valuations, identifying and valuing variations
- Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyse subcontractor quotations and make recommendations for placement of orders
- Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with a wide range of construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of jobs
- Assess subcontractor payment entitlement and process payments
- Work closely with contract and site management staff to support the smooth running of the office and the site, carrying out other duties as required
- Manage project performance and report to management team
- Ensuring accurate reporting
What you need
- Hold Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management
- Motivated, driven and works well within team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word
- 1+ year’s experience
