Junior Quantity Surveyor -Kilkenny
The Company
A contractor based in Kilkenny famous for their workmanship with an impeccable reputation, they are looking to bring a Quantity Surveyor to their workforce. The company deals with general contracting anything from €50k to €5million, working on their own housing and development.
The Responsibilities
- Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
- Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
- Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
- Measure and value the work done on site
- Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers and dealing with sub-contractors
- Select and/or source construction materials
- Write reports
- Attend site meetings
Criteria
- 2 years’ experience
- Highly motivated hard-working individual who can work on their own or as part as a team
- Proficient in Microsoft excel and project
