The Company:
Small building company based in Kilkenny with an emphasis on refurbishments and renovation works for the residential market are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. A reputation that has been built up of 40 years, working on one of builds, new developments, houses and apartment blocks across Carlow, Tipperary, Kildare and Kilkenny. This is a perfect opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor starting out their career path and looking to gain more experience in residential. You will have the support and mentoring of a Senior QS.
The Role:
- Reporting directly to a Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Ensuring all surveying functions are efficiently carried out on all projects
- Ensuring all available profit is extracted.
- You will be responsible for all commercial aspects including; subcontractors, administration, cash flow, risk management, cost control and change management.
- You will be an integral part of the project delivery team.
Criteria:
- Degree qualified in QS
- 1+ years’ experience
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and PDF management.
- Proficient in pricing and quantification methods.
