The Company
This civils and building contractor are on the look out for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their company! Boasting highly skilled staff and awards recognising their growth and success, they have worked hard to establish their name within the construction industry in Ireland. Working on roads, bridges and utilities.
The Role
- Assist in preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
- Assisting in ensuring sub-contractors are pre-qualified in accordance with management systems
- Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation
- Assessing and certification of sub-contractor interim payments
- Preparation of Interim valuations and final account
- Assist with managing and valuing variations
- Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on contracts
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships
What you need
- Third level qualification in QS or Construction management.
- 1-2 years’ experience, preferrable if this is within civils.
- Proficient in Microsoft excel and project
- Driven Team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
