Junior Quantity Surveyor- Cork
Property Developers based in Cork are on the lookout for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. You will have 3-5 years’ experience, and may have to travel out to sites all based in the Cork region. Both investor and developer this company can provide you with a full lifecycle view of each project. Working in Ireland, Northern Ireland, England with projects in residential, hospitality, commercial. This company invests in their people, and will develop your career and enable you to grow professionally.
Role
- Assisting in preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
- Ensure sub-contractors are pre-qualified in accordance with management systems
- Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation
- Assessing and certification of sub-contractor interim payments
- Preparation of Interim valuations and final account
- Assist in managing and valuing variations
- Assisting the Senior QS in the production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on contracts
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships
What you need
- Third level qualification in QS or Construction management.
- 2+years’ experience
- Proficient in Microsoft excel and project
- Driven Team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
