Junior Quantity Surveyor Wexford
The Company
Very busy leading contractor is on the lookout for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Wexford.
Our client carries out projects up to the value of €30M in residential, educational commercial sectors. You will have the chance to learn and develop your career with an experienced commercial team who have an excellent reputation.
They are based in Wexford, so a fantastic opportunity to get working closer to home for the right candidate!
The Role:
- Assist with preparation of tenders and procurement of sub-contractors
- Assist with updating all cost control procedures, working within the guidelines in the policies and procedures
- Assist with the compilation of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
- Responsible for general departmental administration
- Assist with accurate costing for each aspect of project
- Assist with compiling reports on costs and cash flows using the support systems, as well as reports for the Division as required
- Process Subcontract orders, payments and variations, using Excel and Group payment system
- Understand and assist with evaluation and agreement of variations and instructions for smaller trades
- Provide other appropriate ad hoc duties, and administrative support as and when required
- Promote and act in accordance with Group values, systems, policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with Group IT systems
- Attend team meetings as required
What you'll need:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office and Excel programs
- Able to work on own initiative
- Strong communication skills
- Full Driving License
