A successful company based in County Dublin, easily commutable from Blanchardstown and Santry have now got an exciting opportunity for an individual to join their team. They are looking for a candidate with at least 5+ years’ experience to help with their ever-growing requirement for electrical work.

Applicants should have relevant Mechanical or Electrical qualifications and be conversant in the servicing and installation of mechanical/electrical systems, ideally with experience in the Industrial Environment and also the possibility of being on call when required.

Roles Involved:

  • Delivery and execution of maintenance work, renewals work, supervision and relevant technical approval.
  • Provide first line quality electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs for the company.
  • Follow drawings and carry out installation work on the relevant systems.
  • Maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Minimise the downtime on the equipment through fast and effective root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ensure that all executed maintenance activities are documented and recorded by the maintenance team on the systems.
  • Maintain a close contact with mechanical, electrical and CHP maintenance teams and follow up daily progress of PMs and CMs
  • Create and keep a log of task specific risk assessments and issue them with the job plans where applicable, ensure risk assessments are briefed to the team regularly
  • Provide maintenance activities on all electrical equipment including instrumentation, PLC’s, variable speed drives to ensure a safe and healthy reliable plant.
  • Be active in Identification, quantification, implementation and presentation of equipment continuous improvement projects including contractor document evaluation and management

Essential Criteria:

  • 5+ years’ experience or degree equivalent within Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience and knowledge of problem solving within an industrial environment.
  • Understanding of Mechanical and Electrical process plant and within Wastewater Industry.
  • Established risk management skills.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
