Maintenance Engineer / Plumber
Location: Dublin
Package: €Standard Rates + fully expensed van, overtime and on call
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified plumber who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and is confident working across different client environments. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and installations.
You will work independently on assigned jobs while also collaborating with other engineers, technicians, supervisors and members of the wider facilities team when required.
You will be comfortable attending jobs independently, diagnosing faults and taking ownership of work through to completion. You should be organised, dependable and capable of communicating clearly with clients, colleagues and other contractors on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive plumbing and mechanical maintenance across client sites.
- Service, maintain, repair and install plumbing, heating and associated mechanical systems.
- Diagnose faults quickly and accurately and implement practical, effective solutions.
- Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Inspect systems and equipment to identify potential faults or maintenance requirements before they develop into larger issues.
- Carry out minor installation, replacement and upgrade works as required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant technical standards, regulations and manufacturer requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- A successfully completed and recognised Plumbing Apprenticeship.
- RGI/RGII qualification and current registration
- Previous experience working as a qualified plumber
- Previous commercial or industrial HVAC experience
- Good knowledge of plumbing, heating, gas and associated mechanical systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
- Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance
- The ability to assess technical problems and determine practical solutions
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements when working within occupied and operational buildings
- Ability to complete maintenance and service documentation accurately
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- Full, valid Irish driving licence.
