About the Company:
A market leading Manufacturing company based in North Dublin are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to become part of their established team.
You will be responsible for dealing with daily work orders in conjunction with the whole maintenance team and to minimize equipment downtime.
This role is easily commutable from Malahide, Ashbourne and Co. Dublin region.
Duties Include:
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the factory and associated facilities.
- Ensure all equipment is in optimal working order and promptly address any issues.
- Develop and implement procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Focus on inventory management, waste reduction, and workflow optimization.
- Collaborate closely with the management team to understand operational needs and provide necessary support.
- Monitor and manage the facilities and operations budget.
- Ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Prioritize the safety and well-being of all staff.
- Provide day-to-day engineering services in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Maintain and repair packaging and manufacturing equipment to support operational goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.
- Deliver high-quality maintenance services aligned with the maintenance strategy.
- Plan and execute activities to improve line and work zone performance.
- Use PLC for fault-finding and provide engineering improvements to enhance productivity.
Essential Criteria:
- 4+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a high-volume, regulated food production or related industry.
- Engineering Qualification in Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma environments is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and deliver cost-effective design solutions
- Ability to work in a team environment.
