Salary – €40K - €45K Plus Overtime Rate

 

About the Company:

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with experience working within the Food sector? Then this is the role for you!

Our client here at Inform3 are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team where you support the delivery of the maintenance strategy and providing maintenance support to the production team currently.  

The factory operates Monday through to Saturday from 4.00am to 7pm each day. So, the person must be willing and be able to start work at 4am and 7am on a rotation basis (week 1 – 7am / Week 2 – 4am and so on and so forth). Working week would be 5 or 6 days per week depending on coverage required and is a 39hr working week with an overtime rate occurred after this.

 

Duties Involve:

  • Mechanical repairs to a wide range of equipment & processes. These will include high speed packing, automation, electro/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems and facilities maintenance are just some of the engineering elements that will be encountered.
  • Identify and carry out preventative maintenance outside formal maintenance programs.
  • Fully responsible for technical support requirements for production lines and their supporting processes.
  • Use knowledge and available materials to ensure production downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.
  • Working with other Maintenance operatives in a team roll.
  • Setting up and changing over machines for different products.
  • General facility maintenance.

 

Skills Required:

  • Qualification with strong, wide-ranging mechanical skills or fitter skills, mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read mechanical schematic drawings.
  • Ability to use multi meter and troubleshoot electrical faults.
  • Good understanding of automation and an automated environment: comfortable with modern equipment control interfaces.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, food ideally.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work within a team but also must be able to work with autonomy.
  • Automation literate: comfortable with modern equipment control interface.
  • Highly motivated with proven ability to work on own initiative.
  • Good team player and self-motivated.
