Salary – £40K - £45K BOE 

 

About the Company:

Inform3 are currently recruiting for a renowned manufacturer company based in Co. Armagh for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to provide maintenance, repair, and installation services across all mechanical systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant, machinery, and equipment on site.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain mechanical systems, plant, and equipment.
  • Assist with electrical work such as motor changes, sensors, and basic wiring where required.
  • Support breakdown response and emergency repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and external contractors as needed.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures and ensure safe working practices at all times.
  • Accurately complete maintenance records, work reports, and documentation, logging information electronically.

 

Experience Required:

  • Level 3 qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds), or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience as a mechanical fitter with exposure to electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Good understanding of basic electrical principles and safe isolation practices.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing or process environment.
