Job Title – Maintenance Technician

Job Location – Co. Monaghan

Salary – €45K - €55K BOE

 

Role Overview:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, adherence to safety and quality standards, and collaboration with the production team to achieve operational targets.

You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager and you will be responsible for the maintaining of equipment and ensuring that the performance meets targets and KPI’s.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preforming maintenance and repairs on company equipment.
  • Resolving any issues and reporting any defects or concerns which could potentially cause future problems.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
  • Undertake basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs of all faulty production’s equipment.
  • Respond to and carry out reactive maintenance tasks in an efficient and effective manner, minimising the disruption to the business.
  • Ensure any defects or issues are logged.
  • Ensure you maintain a clean and safe environment which is compliant with relevant legislation and internal policies and procedures.
  • Carry out any other Maintenance duties that is required and confirmed with the Engineering Manager.

 

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role.
  • Experience working with high-speed production lines, conveyors, packaging equipment, or automated systems.
  • Proven experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Previous experience in a regulated environment (e.g., food, pharmaceuticals, or automotive) is advantageous.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing or TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team player and ability to take instruction
