Job Title – Maintenance Technician

Job Location – Co. Monaghan            

Salary – €50K - €55K BOE

About the Company:

Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician that has experience carrying out Mechanical & Electrical issues? A client manufacturing company based in County Monaghan are currently on the lookout for a motivated and hard-working individual to join their maintenance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a successful manufacturing company that specialises within food environment and to help keep their company running safely, efficiently, and at peak performance.

There will also be an on call on a rota basis out of hours and at weekends when required and working every 4^th Saturday within the company.

Duties Include:

• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance across all production areas.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults (including PLC-controlled systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyors).
• Support equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning.
• Monitor line performance, reacting quickly to breakdowns or deterioration.
• Maintain accurate records in our CMMS system.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lean projects.

Essential Criteria:

• Qualification or Equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–5 years’ experience in maintenance within manufacturing/industrial operations.
• Strong track record in fault finding, repair, and maintenance of automated machinery.
• Experience in a regulated sector (food, pharma, automotive, etc.) is an advantage.
• Multi-skilled technician with both electrical and mechanical expertise.
• Problem solver with a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Strong communicator, able to work cross-functionally.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Flexible to work alternating shift patterns.
