Are you a Manufacturing Engineer that has at least 3+ years’ experience working within a similar role that is responsible for all customer requirements across the business? This role is suited to someone that strong knowledge of Mechanical, Production and Manufacturing Engineering experience.

A successful manufacturing company based in County Cork are looking for a positive and collaborative candidate with a strong willingness to learn and a keen interest for the role and the industry.

Roles & Responsibilities Include:

  • Carry out the responsibility of technical leadership reviews on NPI programs including DFM, DFA and other industry equivalents.
  • The ability to operate CNC machines when required.
  • Take the lead in establishing and delivering processes into the manufacturing environment through effective selection of suitable technology and methods focused on Quality, Cost and Delivery.
  • To make sure that all work complies with the policies and regulations.
  • The undertake routine checks in order maintain the machines/equipment in order to make sure they are in correct working order and to provide any detail malfunctions or deviations to a team leader or a production supervisor.
  • Has an understanding of how to run one or more machines when required.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision while maintaining levels of expectation.
  • Show understanding and ability to read drawing specifications.
  • Use of inspection of equipment in order to inspect the work.
  • Communication to next shift in regards to any malfunction to production schedule in order to achieve targets.
  • Managing the shop tools and contacting a team leader when something needs replaced or is damaged.
  • Contribute to safe working environment and ensuring that PPE is maintained at all times.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree equivalent of 3+ years’ experience within a similar role/environment.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Hypermill.
  • Proficient in LEAN and Six Sigma Tools.
  • Capabilities in CNC Programming using 3d CAD/CAM.
  • Understanding of 3,4 & 5 Axis.
  • Ability to learn and develop on the job.
  • Hard working and excellent attitude. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
