Manufacturing Engineer                 Co. Limerick                     €45-60K

A leading Medical Device Company based in Co. Limerick are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their ever-expanding business.

They require an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical support to all Manufacturing Engineering activities, the introduction of new products from R&D, and the introduction of process improvement to increase yields.

The role offers the chance to join a great team with high ambitions. The successful candidate will be presented with the opportunity to work on new and innovative developments and products and grow with the company as it continually progresses through the industry.

Duties Include:

  • Transferring and introducing new products and process from R&D.
  • Developing new processes to introduce efficiencies and enable continuous flow of product.
  • Designing and introducing new machine technologies.
  • Identifying opportunities for the reduction of cost, yield, or quality improvement with existing or new vendors, via process improvement.
  • Supporting day-to-day manufacturing, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and maintained and investigating any non-conformance and compliance issues using problem-solving tools.
  • To ensure the smoot operating of new products in a high-volume environment.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in correct working order and that is it being used to certain requirements.
  • Document all relevant information that is requirement.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing/Biomedical.
  • 3+ years’ experience as an engineer within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Project Design and R&D and Six Sigma.
  • Experience of validation techniques and applications.
  • Ability to learn and develop on the job.
  • Hard working and excellent attitude. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
