INFORM3 are recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician for our successful Manufacturing client based in County Cork where you will be responsible for working with the production Engineering Manager and other members of the team.  

This role offers an exciting chance to become part of a dynamic team. As a team member, you’ll be responsible for daily support related to products, processes, materials, and equipment. Your focus will be on achieving stable processes with tight tolerances and implementing business improvement projects within the manufacturing domain.

 

Roles & Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and document manufacturing processes, including visualizing them on route cards.
  • Implement manufacturing and testing procedures.
  • Analyze, enhance, and audit existing processes.
  • Investigate non-conformances and take timely corrective actions.
  • Leverage technology and automation to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical training to production staff.
  • Continuously improve processes, layout, and operational performance.
  • Adhere to Production Engineering protocols and documentation.
  • Ensure efficient production meeting customer specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and use 3D design software (preferably SolidWorks).
  • Create methods to support customer inquiries and estimates.
  • Conduct risk assessments for new processes during project delivery (using PFMEA).
  • Drive improvement initiatives using DMAiC and Lean problem-solving techniques.

Experience Required:

  • Successful completion of a Level 8 Engineering degree
  • Experience of 3D Cad packages (eg Solid-Works)
  • Production Engineering of CNC Precision part manufacturing using best in class processes
  • A good understanding of engineering drawings and schematics
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • CNC experience
  • Clear understanding of engineering and modern manufacturing concepts
  • Continuous Improvement knowledge
  • Knowledge of 5S, CMM/ Metrology and certification standards such as AS9100, ISO13485, ISO45001, ISO14001
