Mechanical Design Engineer Belfast £40-50k
INFORM3 have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a building services background to join an innovative consultancy based in Belfast.
The successful candidate will be working on a range of engineering projects amongst a team of engineers.
Our client is looking for a suitably experienced Mechanical Design Engineer, ideally chartered or willing to work towards this. With busy projects going on, this is an ideal role for an individual looking for a challenging opportunity with the intention to grow and develop their career further.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Prepare drawings using different design software for mechanical engineering projects.
- Work alongside other engineering technicians and engineers within the team to develop portfolios and projects for the business.
- Oversee engineering and development activities so that they result in schemes that are affordable and that meet programme requirements in a safe and environmentally responsible manner for time, cost and quality.
- Review compliance with appropriate standards.
- Sign off on work and projects completed by both yourself and the company.
- Exercise the skill, care and judgement to be expected of an experience mechanical design engineer to ensure that all processes which you are responsible for are completed correctly and to a high standard.
- Take responsibility for checking own work and work produced by others.
- Complete work to agreed timescales, programme and budgetary constraints.
- Work and contribute as part of the engineering team.
Essential Qualifications, skills and Experience:
- Educated to a Degree level in a relevant subject to the role.
- Chartered engineer or willing to work towards it.
- M&E Consultancy experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Good attention to detail.
- Well organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work well with others and in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
