A market leading company are currently looking to bring on a talented and experienced Design Engineer with a Mechanical background, who is confident in 3D design.

Key Deliverables:

The purpose of this role is to provide professional Mechanical Design for company projects, using the software Solidworks. Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Design, develop and maintain the mechanical design of company projects.
  • Produce mechanical designs from concept to production drawings in line with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Ensure all drawings and designs meet company standards.
  • Develop, maintain and amend mechanical design drawings using Software packages.
  • Design automation equipment for company clients.
  • Liaising with clients and other functional workplace departments to ensure intent is met and drawing approval is achieved as efficiently as possible.
  • Support specific projects ensuring timescales and budget requirements are achieved.
  • Relay information about the status of the project with the design team and the project managers.
  • Ensure all health and safety requirements are took into consideration throughout the design process.
  • Attend any required meetings with the company.

Experience and Knowledge:

The successful candidate should have 3-5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, with good knowledge of the Manufacturing and Automation industry. A minimum of an HNC Qualification is also required for the role and should be in a similar subject to the job title.
