A successful Manufacturing company based in County Waterford are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer who has a good knowledge and experience within the industry.

If you have experience in the Manufacturing industry as a Design Engineer and are involved in transforming and implementing manufacturing processes, then this is the role for you.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • To develop and maintain mechanical and electrical design drawings using CAD Software packages.
  • Ability to determine the operational requirements and be able to propose solutions.
  • Make sure that all design work is completed and to acceptable standards and confirmed with senior manager.
  • Produce mechanical designs from concept to production drawings in line with customer needs and business objectives
  • To complete all relevant documentation to the highest of standards and ensure it is accurate.
  • Communicate effectively with the manufacturing team to ensure that all projects are running smoothly and effectively.
  • Ensure all health and safety requirements are took into consideration throughout the design process.
  • 3D scanning and working with point cloud and mesh files.  

 

Experience and Knowledge:

  • 1-3+ years’ experience in a relevant industry or Degree Equivalent in Manufacturing Design Engineering.
  • A good understanding of core concepts from, hydraulics and mechanical systems.
  • Understanding and knowledge of 3D CAD and Solidworks.
  • Experience creating 2D drawings for manufacture.
  • Knowledge of Stainless steel would be beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal communication.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude with a will to learn and improve.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
