Role: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Co. Tyrone
Salary: £30-40K
Our successful client based in County Tyrone that specialised in many industries across Water, Wastewater, Food, Energy and Mechanical and Electrical Sectors are currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.
You will be collaborating with the BID support team, in the writing and compilation of Bids/ tenders and technical documents. There will be interaction with customer representatives, suppliers and contractors, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.
Key Accountabilities:
- Produce and review mechanical design documentation.
- Undertake site visits to include surveys for technical due diligence, to capture information to inform M&E design and monitor installation and commissioning.
- Attend client and design team meetings, with support from more senior engineers.
- Review of specifications and designs against industry standards and specifications.
- The use of CAD packages in the creation of engineering drawings.
- Attendance at project sites for surveys, reviews, key delivery milestones and commissioning.
Requirements:
- BSc/BEng (Hons) in an M&E discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience of producing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Knowledge of engineering schematics in 2D/3D AutoCAD, Revit or similar.
- Confident in talking to a wide range of people to build relationships.
- Understanding of Revit and BIM principles is preferable.
- Must be a good team player but able to work independently.
- Confident communicator both verbally and in writing.
