As a Design Engineer in the manufacturing industry, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical components and systems for the products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the products meet technical specification, quality standards and the customer requirements. Experience of renewable energy industry is a distinct advantage.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualise, design and develop mechanical components and systems for products. 
  • Utilise CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD) to create detailed design drawings and 3D models.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of designs through simulations and calculations to ensure performance, reliability and manafacture-ability. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing and quality assurance to ensure successful implementation of designs. 
  • Participate in design reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in mechanical design and engineering. 
  • Support prototyping and testing activities, analysing results and making necessary design adjustments. 
  • Document design specifications, procedures and test results. 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 2 years experience in ,mechanical design engineering in similar industry
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant CAD software
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to create precise and error-free technical drawings.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with fabrication processes and industry-specific terminology is advantageous
