Salary – €45K - €65K (Dependent on Experience)

About the Role:

Our client, a well-established and growing organisation based in County Limerick, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with customers and internal departments, managing projects from initial enquiry through to final delivery while supporting business growth and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of customer accounts, providing technical expertise, coordinating project activities, and identifying opportunities to expand existing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and account management services to key customer accounts.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers.
• Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle, from enquiry and design through production and delivery.
• Develop, interpret, and maintain engineering drawings in line with customer and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to assess project feasibility and define project scope.
• Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to develop effective and practical engineering solutions.
• Conduct feasibility assessments for complex profiles, components, and assemblies.
• Support the quotation process through material selection, cost estimation, and production time assessments.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for growth within existing customer accounts.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records using CRM systems and internal databases.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across design, estimating, production planning, and operational processes.
• Support the achievement of departmental objectives and wider business growth strategies.

Experience Required:

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering / Manufacturing.
• 5+ years’ experienced within a Mechanical Engineering role.
• Proficiency with 3D drawing software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
• Strong technical problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build trust and rapport.
• Demonstrated ability to secure technical sales and business development opportunities
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance multiple tasks.
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and shared success.
