Responsibilities Involved:

  • Design and implement process improvements for existing automation and robotic equipment.
  • Carry out design and engineering of special-purpose machines.
  • To carry out design of test equipment, fixtures, tooling and mechanical components.
  • To manage design modifications and complete design approval with the customer.
  • Make sure that all design work is completed and to acceptable standards and confirmed with senior manager.
  • Produce mechanical designs from concept to production drawings in line with customer needs and business objectives
  • To complete all relevant documentation to the highest of standards and ensure it is accurate.
  • Communicate effectively with the manufacturing team to ensure that all projects are running smoothly and effectively.
  • Ensure all health and safety requirements are took into consideration throughout the design process.

Skills Required:

  • Degree or Equivalent in Manufacturing/Engineering/Mechatronics/Robotics.
  • 3+ years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Proficiency in electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic design.
  • Strong knowledge of robotics, electrical control systems and PLC programming
  • A strong sense of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Strong technical hands-on experience using 3D CAD Applications e.g Solidworks.
  • Experienced with Hydraulic and Mechanical systems.
  • Full UK Driver’s License essential.
  • Excellent use of MS Office
