The role offers a chance to work within a knowledgeable team while continuously developing your own knowledge and skills. The individual should have 5+ years experience working in a similar role, have good attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Review enquiry documentation to fully determine and understand the full extent of the client’s enquiry.
- Ensure all tenders are priced accurately and within the deadline.
- Provide fast, accurate, competitive and profitable mechanical estimates from enquires stage to bid submissions.
- Follow up on tenders.
- Provide support and assistance where needed to the mechanical estimating team.
- Attend tender and follow up meetings when required.
- Analyse quotations and make recommendations that best suit the business.
- Send and receive quotation requests and develop relationships with suppliers to ensure tender proposals are in line with the requirements provided.
Experience and Knowledge
- 5 years’ experience in a Mechanical Estimating Role.
- Degree / HND /HNC in a relevant subject, Estimating / Mechanical Engineering / Building Services.
- Good industry sector knowledge.
- Have a good understanding working with Microsoft office packages.
- Hold good numeric skills, for costing responsibilities.

- Ability to build client relationships and to introduce new clients for the business to work with.
- Very good attention to detail and accuracy levels.
- Self-motivated and desire to work hard in a rapid paced environment.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to use own initiative to solve problems and deliver solutions.
