A leading Manufacturing company in County Cork are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to become part of their established team.

Our client is looking for a motivated, reliable and ambitious individual who has the ability to work under pressure and within a team environment and successfully thrive for progression.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a degree in a relevant subject and experience in Mechatherm Machinery.

 

Roles & Responsibilities Include:

  • You will carry out all maintenance and repairs of equipment across the areas of the plant including corrective/preventative/calibrations and electrical.
  • You will be fault-finding, maintaining and repairing a wide range of tools and machinery.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture by sustaining good housekeeping standards and wearing correct PPE.
  • Report any issues to management and record them accordingly and come up with resolutions.
  • Ensuring all duties and assigned activities are carried out with correct compliance and within the companies’ rules and regulations.
  • Attend and participate in all respective training that is required.
  • To operate all hands-on equipment/tools while using the correct PPE.
  • Fit and assemble components according to specifications. Using proper tools and recognised engineering methods, while verifying conformance of parts.
  • Debug assemblies and machines by identifying and correcting problems affecting proper operation.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Educated or equivalent with 3 years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, breakdown and repair ideally food environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Understanding of PLC equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
  • A self-starter with a ‘can do’ flexible attitude.
  • Possess appropriate hand tools.
