Mechanical Project Engineer Co. Dublin Salary: Competitive
We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join a leading M&E Contractor based in Dublin where you will be part of a team working on a wide range of building services disciplines.
The successful candidate will be supporting the Project Management Team working with a range of clients from developers, project managers, contractors, and end user clients; however, the common theme is that you'll get to see projects from feasibility and design through to construction.
Key Accountabilities
- Produce and review mechanical design documentation.
- Assist in producing a Programme of Works for the project.
- Work alongside the Technical & Procurement Managers to review the Plant Packages prior to ordering.
- Assist the Technical Manager in carrying out design review and value engineering exercise based on the project documentation and record all findings in the RFI and VE trackers.
- Undertake site visits to include surveys for technical due diligence, to capture information to inform M&E design and monitor installation and commissioning.
- Attend client and design team meetings, with support from more senior engineers.
- Review of specifications and designs against industry standards and specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
- Proficient in CAD and BIM.
- 3+ years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering/Design.
- Confident in talking to a wide range of people to build relationships.
- Must be a good team player but able to work independently.
- Confident communicator both verbally and in writing.
