The Role
An established and highly regarded Mechanical & Electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join its growing project delivery team in Limerick.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical professional to take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of mechanical services on site, working across high-quality projects within the commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, healthcare and public sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating labour and subcontractors, maintaining programme and quality standards, and ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all mechanical activities on site, from installation through to testing, commissioning and handover.
- Supervise direct labour, subcontractors and specialist contractors.
- Plan daily and weekly site activities in line with the overall construction programme.
- Coordinate mechanical services including HVAC, pipework, plumbing, plant, ventilation and associated building services.
- Liaise closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Main Contractors, Consultants and other trades.
- Review drawings, specifications and technical information to ensure works are delivered correctly.
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment to maintain project progress.
- Monitor installation quality and ensure works comply with project specifications and company standards.
- Identify potential programme, coordination or installation issues and work with the project team to resolve them.
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong experience in a Mechanical Site Manager, Mechanical Supervisor, Mechanical Foreman or similar site-based position.
- Mechanical trade background or relevant Mechanical/Building Services qualification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical building services installations.
- Experience delivering projects within commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, healthcare or similar environments would be advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of construction programmes and site coordination.
- Proven ability to manage trades, subcontractors and site resources effectively.
- Good knowledge of health & safety requirements within the construction industry.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator who can build effective relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and project teams.
- A practical, hands-on approach with a strong focus on getting projects delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
