We are currently hiring for a MEP Quantity Surveyor for a leading mechanical contracting firm based in Dublin. The company specialises in the supply and installation of mechanical services to a variety of sectors, from retail to fitout. They pride themselves on their high quality and ability to meet the technical demands of the industry.

We are currently seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing the financial aspects of MEP projects, ensuring that costs are controlled and budgets are adhered to.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates for MEP projects, ensuring that they are accurate.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and that the project is delivered within budget.
  • Prepare and submit progress payment applications to the client.
  • Review and assess subcontractor payment applications, ensuring that they are accurate and reflect the work completed.
  • Prepare cost reports and forecasts, providing regular updates to the senior management team.
  • Liaise with the project team to ensure that costs are managed effectively, identifying and addressing any cost issues as they arise.
  • Prepare and negotiate variations and claims, ensuring that they are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all costs are tracked and recorded accurately and that all financial reporting is completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide support and guidance to the project team on all financial matters.

Requirements

  • At least 3 -5 years' experience in MEP quantity surveying.:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and relevant legislation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Full driving license.
