About the Company:

The Operations Training Instructor will be responsible for coordinating and delivering training programs across all departments, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements and enhancing workforce skills.

This role will also support continuous improvement initiatives, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintain all training documentation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring staff competency, safety, and operational efficiency within the company.

Duties Include:

  • Ensure all mandatory training is completed and up to date for employees.
  • Plan, organise, and deliver mandatory and statutory training as per the Skills Matrix.
  • Coordinate and deliver cross-training based on the Matrix to enhance workforce adaptability.
  • Conduct Induction Training for new employees, ensuring they are fully prepared for their roles.
  • Carry out Post-Validation Assessments after training sessions to confirm competency.
  • Maintain and update training records to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously update Training Manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all roles.
  • Ensure all employees are trained and validated against these SOPs.
  • Organise and manage legally required training (e.g., Abrasive Wheels, Crane Operation).
  • Provide necessary training information to Production Leaders (PLs) for New Start Reviews.
  • Forecast future training requirements in collaboration with HR and Production Managers.
  • Track and update daily/weekly Level 2 KPIs, including compliance rates and skills coverage.
  • Conduct lean audits to drive compliance and coach employees for improvements.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions to resolve quality or production-related issues.
  • Ensure the effective use of lean management systems by Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Operators.
  • Attend departmental meetings to discuss training progress and development needs.
  • Communicate with managers and employees to identify skills gaps and training needs.
  • Handle emails, KPI updates, and general administrative tasks related to training.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience organising and conducting training events.
  • Strong verbal & written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good numerical and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to communicate with different departments.
