Planner Engineer/Manager                  Co. Dublin & Italy                 Salary: Competitive

As a Planner Engineer/Manager you will play an active role in project management support of multi-disciplined, multi-sector project delivery work by facilitating the planning, scheduling and controlling processes.

You will be providing advice, support and clear communication of fact-based answers to key management questions which will aid in intelligent and effective decision making, and must escalate and flag internally to general Manager.

There are two options for this role as there is one based in Italy and another based in County Dublin working on different projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Regularly checking status updates across the various aspects of the projects from quantity of material installed, quantity of allowable labour utilised, quantity of pre-defined time period allotted etc.
  • Always checking for clarity of the true reality of the project.
  • Provide a high quality of service to the project manager
  • Managing, mentoring and providing guidance to Planners / Juniors as required depending
  • Review Contract documentation and highlight key schedule and tracking requirements
  • Develop the required Trackers and Reporting templates.
  • Measure & track weekly progress and efficiency in consultation with the Site Team and validate this formally with the Commercial Team.
  • Highlight potential risks and roadblocks to the project team and lead planner on an ongoing basis.

Experience Required:

  • Degree of equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying.
  • 5+ years’ experience / demonstrate ability to develop and implement plans, monitor and control work.
  • Capable of producing project plans from design and commercial information
  • Microsoft Project / P6 or Equivalent Planning Software, Microsoft Office tools - Excellent report writing skills.
  • Time management essential to satisfy demands of busy schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on your own and within a team environment.
