Inform3 are recruiting for a Plant Manager to join a busy civils contractor based in Cork who will be responsible for the overall management, operations and repairs.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a successful contractor that is continually growing and has a wealth of experience. The client is seeking a Plant Manager that has knowledge and experience managing a team and Heavy Plant and Machinery.

Plant Manager Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Senior Management Team
  • Coordinating and supervising the maintenance and repair of mechanical and plant equipment and machinery.
  • Liaise with Site teams regarding requirements
  • Coordinate the delivery and installation of Plant, Machinery and Equipment
  • Ensure all Plant, Machinery and Equipment is tracked and managed effectively
  • Complete any light maintenance if necessary and ensure upkeep of plant and equipment
  • Review overall labour and material requirements
  • Identify parts and replacement equipment and source quotes
  • Ensure the plant department operates to the highest standards
  • Ensure that all plant and equipment and stock items are issued to sites as required.
  • Establish and manage budgets and targets for assigned areas of responsibility
  • Attend Senior Management meetings when appropriate
  • Repairs, and servicing to large and small plant and machinery.

 

Plant Manager Specification:

  • Plant Management Background
  • Experience in repairs and servicing to large and small plant and machinery.
  • Batchelors Degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering or related field
  • 5 years or more experience in a similar role
  • Highly organised and motivated
  • Experience with Plant and Machinery
  • Able to use Microsoft Office
  • Strong technical and diagnostic ability
  • Driven and motivated
  • Full driving licence
