Plant Workshop Supervisor – West Cork

 

INFORM3 are looking to appoint a plant workshop supervisor, for projects based in West Cork. The successful candidate will work for a client focused on producing work that is of the highest standard and always putting health and safety at the forefront of every project. The client has a wealth of over 50 years in the construction industry.

The candidate will need to be hands-on and familiar with various plant machinery.

 

 

Workshop Manager Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Plant and Equipment with a hands-on approach, and developing and maintaining good working relationships at all levels within the organisation
  • Track plant, carry out any light maintenance if necessary and ensure upkeep of plant and equipment is met
  • Identify parts and replacement equipment and source quotes
  • Ensure vehicles receive a serving on a regular basis
  • Ensure that all plant and equipment and stock items are issued to sites as required.
  • Delivery and collection of plant, materials and equipment using company fleet
  • Management and control of health and safety issues
  • Understanding company policies with regard to quality and ensuring these are implemented
  • Working with the office team and site foremen to ensure plant and tool are accurately tracked

 

 

Candidate Specification:

  • Capable of operating construction plant
  • 5 years’ or more experience in a similar role
  • Full driving licence
  • Valid Safe Pass Card
  • HGV Type CE Licence and CPC card
  • Ensure all plant and lifting equipment have valid certs
  • Excellent organisational communication skills, ensuring all demand for plant is managed
  • Team player, who has the ability to self-start and work independently
  • Strong numeracy and IT skills including MS Office, Word and Excel
