INFORM3 are recruiting a Plant/Operations Manager for a civil contractor working in Dublin.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a successful contractor that is continually growing and has a wealth of experience. The client is seeking a Plant/Operations Manager that has knowledge and experience managing a team and Heavy Plant and Machinery.

Plant/Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Senior Management Team
  • Overseeing the management and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery.
  • Ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Managing procurement, logistics, and resource allocation for construction projects.
  • Coordinating with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to optimize workflow.
  • Implementing cost control measures and budget management strategies.
  • Monitoring performance metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate the Plant Office and Workshop
  • Liaise with Site teams regarding requirements
  • Coordinate the delivery and installation of Plant, Machinery and Equipment
  • Ensure all Plant, Machinery and Equipment is tracked and managed effectively
  • Complete any light maintenance if necessary and ensure upkeep of plant and equipment
  • Identify parts and replacement equipment and source quotes
  • Ensure the plant department operates to the highest standards
  • Create, monitor and maintain maintenance schedules
  • Ensure that all plant and equipment and stock items are issued to sites as required.
  • Establish and manage budgets and targets for assigned areas of responsibility
  • Attend Senior Management meetings when appropriate

 

Plant/Operations Manager Specification:

  • Plant Management Background
  • 5 years or more experience in a similar role
  • Highly organised and motivated
  • Experience with Plant and Machinery
  • Able to use Microsoft Office
  • Strong technical and diagnostic ability
  • Driven and motivated
  • Full driving licence
