Process Automation Engineer              Co. Cork                    €45-65K

INFORM3 are currently recruiting for a Process Automation Engineer to join their expanding team based in County Cork.

The role offers the chance to be part of a close-knit team, while developing your own knowledge and skills. The individual should be highly motivated with a willingness to succeed within the company as they expect pace, cooperation and accountability.

You will be tasked with providing effective processes including scope, concept generation and design throughout the development processes and to ensure the company remain a market leader within the industries they work in.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all controls and automation equipment and systems.
  • Safeguard the automation process in respect of safe operations through regular checks and update of control systems.
  • Develop and lead projects for programming, 3D simulations and system integrations.
  • Support and communicate effectively with the Engineer Manager with defining work packages, planning and organising automation activities.
  • Work closely with the automation team, developers, project designers, electricians and operations.
  • Participate in Lean Six Sigma Projects and work part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ensure quality in projects for usability, reliability and manufacturability.
  • To design electrical control systems for specific customer requirements and to make sure they are of industry standards.
  • To identify any root causes of automation faults/breakdowns and prioritise corrective measures to meet the operational processing objectives.
  • Provide technical support to customers and visit sites hen required.
  • Modifications of PLC’s input and output programming and design software.
  • Complete all documentation to the highest quality and oversee all acceptance testing.

This role requires the candidate to have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience working in a hands-on Machine Automation Environment that includes Robotic Programmes.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Qualified to a minimum HNC Level in Electronics, Automation, or other Engineering Disciplines.
  • Experience and knowledge of Robotics systems.
  • Understanding of Hydraulic systems desirable.
  • Understanding of Debugging systems.
  • Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication.
  • Positive attitude towards work with a willing ness to continually learn.
  • Well organised approach to work.
