A successful Manufacturing company based in County Tyrone are currently on the lookout for a Production Design Engineer who has a good knowledge and experience within the manufacturing industry.

This is a great opportunity to join the companies growing engineering team and further develop your knowledge and skills within manufacturing environment by creating new designs and implementing current designs.

If you have experience in the Manufacturing industry as a Production Engineer and are involved in leading design processes to production, then this is the role for you.

Roles and Responsibilities Include:

  • To project manage all new and existing designs and ensure that all design projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage the engineering change within the company’s quality systems.
  • Report to the Engineering manager of any queries or issues that may arise during the product design process.
  • Ensure that all the designs meet the manufacturing, technical and customer requirements.
  • Carry out all calculations for the engineering problems and where performance is critical and is needed.
  • Ability to carry out multiple projects from the concept process through to the manufacturing.
  • Work with mechanical and electrical design engineers to develop experimental concepts into certified products.
  • Participation in the department’s innovation initiative - the invention of new concepts, ideas and breakthrough technologies to support future business and generate new solutions
  • Comply with all health & safety regulations on a daily basis.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Engineering environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of CAD and Solidworks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all department managers.
  • Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication skills.
  • MS Office efficient.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as a team.
