Production Manager                                Newtownards                       £40-50K

INFORM3 are currently recruiting for a Production Manager for a successful Manufacturing company based in Newtownards that is easily commutable from Belfast, Lisburn and Ballynahinch.

You will be responsible for all the manufacturing-related activities of certain areas within the company and looking after planning, co-ordinating and controlling all the steps in the production processes.

The right candidate will have experience within a similar role ideally within a manufacturing / engineering environment and will report directly to the Senior Production Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities Include:

• Proactively manage the team to meet daily/weekly production plan demand.
• Assessing project and resource requirements.
• Ensuring that all factory production equipment is in good working order and monitored on a daily basis.
• Training and coaching all Factory Operators to enhance and increase the performance and productivity within the company.
• Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.
• Overseeing production processes.
• Monitor KPIs, health and safety regulations, team budgets and more
• Working with the general manager, transport manager and purchasing manager to ensure the smooth running of the business

Skills & Experience Required:

• 3+ years’ experience or Degree Equivalent within Engineering.
• Managerial/supervisory /team leader experience.
• A lean manufacturing background or a strong focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in line with company requirements.
• Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication.
• Working knowledge of MRP Systems.
• Working knowledge of production planning in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability in approach and sourcing.
