A top Manufacturing company based in Co. Tyrone are currently looking to recruit a Production Supervisor for their team who has good knowledge, experience and passion for the heavy industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company who has a fast-paced environment and great opportunities within the manufacturing industry.

You will report to the Production Area Manager and play a key role within the operations department.

If you have experience in production leadership within a high-volume manufacturing environment then this is the role for you.

Roles & Responsibilities Include:

  • Production Supervisor for planning and overseeing effective execution of all Production operations on shift.
  • Proactively manage the team to meet daily/weekly production plan demand.
  • Assessing project and resource requirements.
  • Ensure there is a comprehensive program of continuous improvement in place to improve quality, performance, efficiency and reduce costs through structured problem- solving activities (5s and Lean Projects) in line with the companies Quality Policies and systems.
  • Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.
  • Overseeing production processes.
  • Monitor KPIs, health and safety regulations, team budgets and more
  • Working with the general manager, transport manager and purchasing manager to ensure the smooth running of the business.
  • Maintaining GMP / Housekeeping at a high level at all times.

Skills/Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of two years experience within a similar role ideally within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Managerial/supervisory /team leader experience.
  • A lean manufacturing background or a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in line with company requirements.
  • Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Systems is an advantage. 
  • Working knowledge of production planning in a fast-paced environment
