Project Engineer - Mechanical & Electrical

 

Rightpath are currently supporting a leading M&E Contractor for their recruitment of a Project Engineer on a permanent basis to be based in the Dublin / Meath Area. Due to their continuing success, and continued delivery of projects to a high standard they have a requirement for a QS / Quantity Surveyor .

 

The role

  • Provide technical engineering support throughout the development of your allocated projects, reviewing and assessing designs to ensure they meet the requirements of the company and protect technically competent scopes that balance service risk, cost and certainty
  • Provide specialist mechanical or electrical engineering support and advice to colleagues and other parties
  • Capture and share technical knowledge and best practice, and to promote continual improvement within the Technical Support and Assurance team.
  • This role requires engagement with operational teams, planning teams , consultants, supply chain, delivery teams to evaluate the design requirements and assess the suitability based on the balance of cost, safety and risk
  • The nature of the role will require travel around sites (mostly Dublin).

 

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide technical support and assurance for the ongoing delivery of The Contractors capital programme through the Plan, Prepare and Deliver Phases from concept to implementation
  • To provide technical support for the development of Standard Products
  • To provide technical support for ongoing development and implementation of the company Standards and Specifications ensuring the implications to any revisions/waivers are fully understood

 

Key Technical Requirements, Knowledge and Experience for the

Project Engineer – (Mechanical & Electrical)

 

  • A degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar such as Electronics, Power Engineering, etc.)

 

Other Skills

  • Excellent track record of delivering technical solutions and designs for a wide range of projects
  • An individual who builds credibility and trust while influencing and engaging a diverse community of stakeholders
  • A customer oriented person who sustains performance by enabling improvements
  • Strong communication, negotiation, liaison and influencing to explain and understand technically complex issues
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Project and SharePoint
  • The nature of the role will require travel to operational assets/sites. A full driving licence is therefore required
