Project Manager (Consultancy)

Our client a leading infrastructure Contractor and they current require a Project Manager to join their team.  Our client is an indigenous company with a diverse and impressive project portfolio which includes water, environmental and energy projects.  They are recognised for their progressive attitude and commitment to developing their staff.  This senior role offers a real opportunity to join the company when they are going through a growth stage and an opportunity to work on high profile innovative projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing progress, constraints and budget·
  • Ensure compliance with the Procurement procedures.
  • Supervise Project Engineers.
  • Managing and reviewing the Project Engineers documentation including, Proposal documents, Drawing Production, Technical Submittal.
  • Ensuring compliance and Implementation of Project procedures, processes and relevant legislation.
  • Ensuring Projects are brought in on time and on budget..
  • Ensuring delivery of all necessary design and O&M documentation.
  • Keeping records of how their time is spent on the various Projects they are assigned to.
  • Ensuring the Engineering Change Control procedure is adhered to. Design and/or development documented information is retained and managing change in design and/or development,
  • Comply with requirements of the company’s Integrated Management System
  • Ensuring Task Orders which involve design and/or development, ensures that they the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard,
  • Ensuring that the project has been completed as planned and as per the requirements
  • Apply the Health and Safety rules and comply with any internal rules in force in the company.

Criteria:

  • Degree qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years project management experience.
  • Knowledge & experience of current EN and IEC Standards
  • Proven record of managing high value multimillion projects from inception to completion.
  • You should have experience in managing a team of 15+ in a busy engineering environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be client facing and be confident in working closely with stakeholders.
  • Driven to succeed, ability to work on own initiative
  • Full clean driver’s license
