Project Manager – NI with travel

INFORM3 are currently recruiting for a Project Manager for a variety of civil projects including Energy, Public Realm and Environmental improvement works. The client has a number of projects within NI and also within ROI and the UK, the candidate will need to be flexible with travel. The successful candidate must also have a heavy civils background and be successful in delivering projects and managing multiple site teams.

 

Project Manager responsibilities:

  • Report to the Contracts Manager
  • Develop a project plan from inception to completion taking into account all relevant statutory and client requirements, establish targets with respect to project delivery; monitor and report on progress against these targets.
  • Be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects including management and delivery of project milestones
  • Manage all direct and specialist site teams, communicating regular with site management
  • Ensure quality and health and safety procedures and legislation requirements are met on each project
  • Ensure all relevant information is collated, reviewed and actioned at regular contract review meetings.
  • Attend client/consultant meetings, prepare and respond to specific requirements
  • Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials
  • Manage the decision-making process by carrying out all necessary liaison and negotiations with all parties involved ensuring value for money
  • Attend both Site Management and Senior Management meetings, discuss site progress and pressing issues

 

Project Manager Specification:

  • Civil Engineer or Construction Management Degree
  • 6 years plus relevant experience
  • Previous experience managing projects from conception to completion
  • Able to maintain and develop relationships with clients
  • Knowledge of current health and safety legislation
  • Able to communicate effectively amongst various site teams
  • Able to work to deadlines and targets
  • Full Driving License
