Civils Project Manager – Midlands, UK

INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Project Manager to join a Civils Contractor with a number of projects featuring roads and utilities. The contractor is a specialist within the civils industry, with over 35 years of experience and knowledge. As a result of their continued success, they are seeking a Project Manager who is confident in managing several projects, reach deadlines and coordinate civil teams.

 

Project Manager responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Contracts Manager
  • Develop a project plan from inception to completion taking into account all relevant statutory and client requirements, establish targets with respect to project delivery; monitor and report on progress against these targets.
  • Be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects including management and delivery of project milestones
  • Manage site teams, ensuring there is fluid communication, providing clear objectives and weekly tasks
  • Ensure compliance with quality, and health and safety procedures and legislation r
  • Ensure all relevant information is collated, reviewed and actioned at regular contract review meetings.
  • Attend client/consultant meetings, prepare and respond to requirements
  • Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials
  • Manage the decision-making process by carrying out all necessary liaison and negotiations with all parties involved ensuring value for money
  • Check and understand all drawings and specification. Ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in timely manner.
  • Attend Senior Management Meetings

 

Project Manager Specification:

  • Construction Management or Civil Engineer Degree
  • 6 years plus relevant experience
  • Previous track record /experience of project management
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage relationships
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Knowledge of current health and safety legislation
  • Excellent experience with Microsoft Office
  • Full Driving License
