Project Manager – Derry / Londonderry

 

INFORM3 are currently recruiting for a Project Manager on a renewable energy project in Derry / Londonderry. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to adapt to various situations and use their initiative to oversee the project from start to finish. The Project Manager will work with a large civil engineering contractor who is well established within the industry.

 

The candidate will have experience in civils and renewable energy work.

 

Project Manager responsibilities:

  • Develop a project plan from inception to completion taking into account all relevant statutory and client requirements, establish targets with respect to project delivery; monitor and report on progress against these targets.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects including management and delivery of project milestones
  • Oversight and management of sub-contractor selection, appointment, and management
  • Delivery of and compliance with, quality and health and safety procedures and legislation requirements
  • Ensure all relevant information is collated, reviewed and actioned at regular contract review meetings.
  • Attend client/consultant meetings, prepare and respond to the requirements of the meeting to ensure
  • Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials
  • Manage the decision-making process by carrying out all necessary liaison and negotiations with all parties involved ensuring value for money
  • Check and understand all drawings and specification. Ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in timely manner.

 

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Third level qualification in Construction Management / Civil Engineering or equivalent with experience and professional accreditation
  • A track record /experience of project management
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage relationships with all involved parties constructively and collaboratively
  • Exceptional attention to detail evidenced through successful project(s) delivery and client satisfaction
  • Focused on continuous project /process improvement and balancing client expectations against business interest
  • Knowledge of current health and safety legislation
