Inform3 recruitment are seeking a Project Manager for a main contractor who will be starting a €5m public service station refurbishment in late September. Project will consist of upgrading an existing frame as well as putting in new structural steel gantries.

The project will comprise of 6/7 major subcontractors and you would also be working with a Site Foreman.

Preference would be to hire in the weeks leading up the project for planning involvement as this will be happening in August. Programme set to run for 12 months with the aim being further collaboration with this client.

Salary: €75,000 - €80,000 with Car package

The Role

  • Liaise with the Construction Director, Client and Site Foreman
  • Chairing & recording of meeting with sub-contractors, design teams etc.
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations, health & safety regulations and good building practice.
  • Check and understand all drawings and specifications. Ensure that any errors are formally communicated to the Design Team in a timely manner.
  • Production and revision of the contract and sub contract programmes (and schedules).
  • Ensure company owned plant and equipment is maintained in good working order.
  • Manage and direct site staff and all subcontractors.
  • Monitor construction, with regard to quality of workmanship and materials.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with Construction Team to ensure that all subcontractors and site personnel have timely and accurate information.

 

Job Requirements

  • Structural Steel experience an advantage.
  • Ideally degree qualified with a Minimum of 5 years +’ experience with a Main Contractor in Ireland or elsewhere as a Project Manager on €5m+ projects. Your degree should be Engineering/Construction Management or similar.
  • Motivated individual with excellent negotiation/communication skills.
  • Good I.T. Skills, including Microsoft Office/Excel and Microsoft Project.
  • The ability to make decisions under pressure and use your initiative; problem-solving skills in other words.
  • Good leadership skills to motivate and direct your team.
  • Excellent organisational skills to use your resources to ensure deadlines are met and the project budget is maintained.
