One of Ireland’s leading specialists in roofing, cladding and façades. The company does extensive across Europe and Ireland and deals with all major construction contractors across all sectors including digital technology, commercial, retail, and healthcare.
The Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to gain excellent experience with potential for personal growth and career advancement.
Manage site staff and all contractors on a day to day basis
Establish Programmes for projects.
Design reviews and recommendations to improve savings, ease construction programme, enhance specification and quality.
Commercially minded – work with senior management to manage project finances and work to achieve company targets.
Monitor Projects, regarding quality of workmanship and materials
Maintain maximum cost effectiveness.
Co-ordinate and liaise with all senior staff to ensure that all site personnel have timely and accurate information.
Ensure compliance with drawings, specification, building regulations and good building practise.
Check and understand all drawings and specification. Ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in timely manner.
Establish project resource requirements and lead \ motivate the project team
Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory obligations
Responsible for Health and Safety
Job Requirements
Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
Proven experience and track record of managing projects from inception to completion
Must have at least 5 years’ experience working as a Project Manager on building projects
Be proficient in Microsoft project and all aspects of managing a programme
Experience of leading a team of Site Managers, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors
Experience reporting into senior management level on commercial and delivery issues
Knowledge of current health and safety legislation
