Rightpath Construction Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to work in the South Down area. The company is a leading building contractor in Northern Ireland boasting over 50 years' experience. The successful Project Manager would be taken on for a 140-unit new build residential and manage it for design stage through to project completion. There is three years work on the project in total with the opportunity for a further phase. Working with a main contractor you will be reporting to the Managing Director and will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project.  As the main representative for the company you will be expected to have extensive knowledge of sub-contractors, suppliers and contacts throughout the province. Experience as Project Manager on a housing site over 50 units is essential to be considered for this position. Excellent salary and package on offer.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise and co-ordinate projects from start to completion
  • Produce accurate, consistent and professional records, reports and general information
  • To carry out the role of company representation on site and to interface between the company and client
  • Manage and motivate site teams
  • Conduct Risk Assessments
  • Ensure all processes are being adhered to on a project by project basis
  • Ensuring that end product meets client's expectation in relation to build and finish
  • Reporting to Managing Director
  • All Health & Safety and other regulatory matters

Project Manager Requirements:

  • Extensive main contracting background is essential
  • Previous experience running a housing project with over 50 units
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Self-motivated and hard worker
  • Strong team building skills
  • Analytical and decision-making skills
  • Technical and practical knowledge of the building industry important
  • Advance knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Powerpoint and industry specific software
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
