Construction Planner – Tyrone

The Company

Local civils contractor is seeking a planner to oversee their projects locally in NI, you will work on the programme of works for 2-3 projects and base yourself in the office and on site. Working closely with site teams to ensure delivery of the project on time and within budgeting.

The Role

  • Producing programmes of a high quality which meet Company & Client expectations, within time allocated and in line with project deadlines.
  • Providing guidance and assistance to sales and support team.
  • Taking ownership / responsibility for relevant assigned projects.
  • Liaising with external customers and internal team.
  • Liaising with equipment manufacturers/suppliers as and when required.
  • Production of tender programmes from "First Principles" which will then be developed into construction programmes
  • Monitor progress of programmes and highlight areas of concern with site teams, proposing mitigation measures where required.
  • Regular site visits to assist site teams with planning matters.
  • Collation of progress information & production of progress reporting.
  • Report any planning issues to the senior project manager and site management team
  • Plan weekly site activities and provide as built progress

What you need

  • Must have 5 years planning experience
  • Experience with P6 software
  • Experience at both the tender and contract stages of projects
  • Possess a good understanding of the construction process and how a project comes together.
  • Strong communication skills
