The Company

One of Irelands most innovating contractors is currently on the look-out for an experienced Project Planner to join their team for their office in Newry or Belfast for projects based in North Dublin/Drogheda

They operate in numerous sectors including Residential, Commercial, Education, Healthcare, and others.

They are looking for a driven, problem solving, details orientated candidate to come into the business and hit the ground running and manage jobs from start to finish.

It is vital that the candidate has great communication skills both verbally and written, and have the ability to manage and build relationships between clients and internal teams. Fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to progress their career in the right direction, while earning an enticing salary.

The Role

• Producing programmes of a high quality which meet Company & Client expectations, within time allocated and in line with project deadlines.
• Providing guidance and assistance to sales and support team.
• Taking ownership / responsibility for relevant assigned projects.
• Liaising with external customers and internal team.
• Liaising with equipment manufacturers/suppliers as and when required.
• Regular reporting on project progress to management team on a project and portfolio analysis basis
• Monitor progress of programmes and highlight areas of concern with site teams, proposing mitigation measures where required.
• Regular site visits to assist site teams with planning matters.
• Report any planning issues to the senior project manager and site management team

What you need

• Be familiar with Asta Powerproject
• Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 4 years construction planning experience which has been gained in Ireland
• Experience at both the tender and contract stages of projects
• Possess a good understanding of the construction process and how a project comes together.
• Strong communication skills
