The Company

Building and Civils Contractor based in Co Cork are looking for an assistant junior buyer to report and assist the Purchasing Manager. This contractor is experiencing immense growth and have several new projects approaching in the new year so they require additional support with ordering materials for sites, working with suppliers, site staff and the day-to-day operations within purchasing department.

You will be supported, trained and developed by Senior staff with an extremely reputable and busy contractor, the right individual will be hardworking, driven and ambitious.

The Role

• Assisting Purchasing Manager in the day to day operations of purchasing department- sourcing materials and plant /tools
• Working closely with site staff on the requirements for materials and plant for sites.
• Assist accounts in processing invoices, checking invoices against purchase orders.
• Oversee the register of suppliers.
• Adhoc duties that may arise by the department

What you need

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, word and outlook
• Good Communication Skills
• Some knowledge of construction materials is preferrable
• Ambitious and driven individual
