Job Title: QAQC Inspection Engineer

Location: Limerick, Cork, and Dublin, Ireland

 

Job Summary:

Our Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced QAQC Inspection Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all MEP installations meet the quality requirements of Kirby Group's clients. This role will involve working closely with our project teams to ensure that all aspects of the MEP installations are inspected, tested and verified to meet the highest standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual inspections of all MEP installations in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards
  • Plan and carry out inspections, including scheduling and coordination of work with project teams
  • Review and verify all project documentation, including inspection test plans, quality control plans, and project specifications
  • Prepare and issue quality control reports, including non-conformance reports, corrective and preventive action plans, and other quality-related documentation
  • Conduct on-site training to project teams on quality control procedures and best practices
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure timely resolution of quality-related issues
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of MEP installations and associated quality control procedures
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with project teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to travel between project locations as required
